Description
Su-Jin’s is one of the many seamstress shops scattered around Jisang. Nestled in the middle level, they see mostly repair work but occasionally will be asked to make an entire garment. Sewing needles are hard to come by so many seek out seamstress shops for repairs, patching and embroidery. Su-Jin’s specializes in embroidery and home-dyed fabrics/thread. Anything that can be eaten is used as food but the spanse of plants growing in Su-Jin, who’s roots extend down to the lowest levels, are inedible but brightly colored. Rather than get rid of them, Sung-Min, the shop’s founder, saw an opportunity and created a near monopoly on freshly dyed fabrics, earning her clients from all walks of life. By law they must keep a careful eye on the plants so they don’t overgrow and kill off any edible one but they are otherwise free to continue growing them without issue. Their bright and colorful threads are extremely popular for embroidery and any leftovers are sold to other seamstress shops to use.
